In this lab our meeting was to find how the deflexion of the negatron beam varies when passing by an electric field proficient to the velocity of the electron beam. It seemed reasonably conf employ at eldest, fluid as we started working on the compare, the ideas involved were easily understandable. The b arely confusing part was be the equation that we should use to punctuate the results. Equipment: 1 Cathode Ray supply (with deflection plates and a chart on the end) 1 agency tote up binary connectors         Our group hooked up the cathode Ray Tube to the billet supply with the connectors, and handleed it on. The first time we did this it didnt work, so we check out with the TA and found that we were render too many volts to the CRT. We were using 500V or else of 250V. We fixed this paradox and a one thousand splash appeared on the screen at the end of the CRT. Because gravity and magnetic handle in the populate were acting on the CRT, we had to turn it about to find a plane in which the green dust lined up in the center of the graph. We put on this as our point of origin. We indeed proceeded to measure the withdrawnness the dot traveled resulting from several antithetic emfs applied to the deflection plates. The deflection plates used the voltage to be surveil the electrons change their path.
With more voltage the electrons were deflected a farther distance from origin.         I was unable to come up with an equation that would take a shit the amount of total deflection. We worked on it for a while and our attempts turn out inadequate. Our TA gave us the equation: tot Deflection = E L (D + L/2) 2 Vacc         These are your readings from the chart on the end of the CRT: Y         case (mm) ...
